We live in a world where marketers
tell us what we need and what we’re lacking. We’re continually told that we’re too young, too old,
too fat, too thin, too needy, too insecure, or too weak. It seems that according to many of them, we are forever inadequate.
Looking through their perspective, it’s amazing we make it out the door in the morning.
As a marketer myself, I happen to disagree with many of these individuals. I have more faith
in your abilities than they do. I don’t care how old you are or how much you weigh. You’re an intelligent
person with skills and abilities that are unique to you, and you can utilize these to create the kind of life you have always
wanted.
There are no
secrets.
Thinking positive thoughts
won't get you where you want to be in life. If someone tells you that all you need to do to become successful is to
wish for what you want, they're not giving you the full story. A smart plan of action, however, can bring you the
happiness and success you desire. There are no secrets to success. The same traditional, time-tested strategies that people have used throughout history still work.
If you want to be successful within a given field, you simply need to employ traditional marketing strategies to get where
you want to be.
Here’s
more good news…
The same business
rules apply whether you want to own an auto repair shop, open a craft supplies store, write books, become an entertainer,
teach business seminars, or start an insurance company. Business is business, and in any business you need to provide
quality products or services and provide excellent customer service. If you keep your customers happy, they will keep
coming back to get their vehicles repaired, buy your products, purchase your books, see your gigs, attend your seminars, or
buy your insurance.
I realize that not everyone
has a background in marketing, so I’d like to extend an offer to you. If you would like to receive periodic
emails containing FREE marketing and promotion tips, simply go to my home page and sign up today for my free email
newsletter. I won’t sell or rent your contact information to anyone.
Why am I doing this? Frankly, in my career travels I have found that few companies are meritocracies.
Merit is important to me, and I suspect it is also important to you. Let’s stop spending so much of our valuable
time making other people rich and fulfilling their dreams while ours remain unfulfilled. Together we can exchange information
and expertise so that all of us can achieve our goals. I encourage you to send me your success stories so I can share
them on this website. Let’s help each other and take charge of our lives. Let’s start a success
revolution!
